As I reflect on the incredible journey we’ve been on, I’m filled with gratitude for every one of you. Your donations, whether in-kind or financial, are more than just contributions—they’re life-changing gifts. Each item of clothing, every dollar, helps provide food, shelter, education, and hope for children who need it the most.
Recently, our team delivered supplies to children at the Nelson Mandela Center, a shelter for orphans and children of detained mothers. The joy on the children’s faces was truly heartwarming. Thanks to your kindness, over 100 children, ranging from newborns to 12 years old, have been housed, educated, and cared for at the center.

A Call to Action: Sponsor a Child’s Future
As we move into the new school year, our mission continues. Around 50 children are heading back to school, but many need sponsorship to continue their education. The cost to sponsor a child is 32,000 francs annually (equivalency of US $60.00/year/child), covering school fees, uniforms, and supplies. “Greetings and happy Sunday to you all. My name is Ms. Boundie Mah Sacko and I am the coordinator of the Nelson Mandela Center. This center provides shelter and education for children whose mothers are in detention, as well as for orphans, abandoned children, and those in difficult situations. At the moment, we are caring for around 100 children, ranging in age from newborns to 12 years old. Our school year was scheduled to begin today, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it has been postponed to November 4th. Of the children we host, around 50 are enrolled in school, ranging from kindergarten to the 6th grade. However, many of these children need sponsorship to ensure they can continue their education smoothly.
We are reaching out to generous individuals to help sponsor these children. The school fees are as follows:
• 32,000 francs per child, per year [equivalency of US $ 60.00]
• 5,000 francs for registration [equivalency of US $10.00]
• 3,000 francs per month [equivalency of US ~ $6.00]
We welcome all contributions, whether it’s sponsoring one, two, or more children. Every bit of support helps us ensure these children have a bright future. We are deeply grateful for the donations we have received so far, including clothes, pasta, milk, and cooking oil.
