We are thrilled to announce that our most recent shipment to Africa has officially arrived! This journey began with sourcing donations, navigating across the ocean to Senegal, and finally reaching the continent of Africa. 📦🌍

This shipment was organized a little differently to optimize both time and cost. Our incredible CEO, Mimi Williams, personally drove the entire shipment from Maryland to Philadelphia. From there, Mimi sorted, packed, and hand-delivered the shipment to our shipper to ensure everything was ready for its journey. 🛣️
Ready for the Road 🚚
Your generous donations—both in cash and in-kind—made this shipment possible. With everything packed with love, we were ready to ensure these much-needed goods reached the hands of women and children in Africa. 🙏❤️
Sorting and Packing in Philadelphia 📦
After collecting all the donations, Mariam personally drove from Maryland to Philadelphia, where she spent hours meticulously sorting and packing the items. Her commitment to cutting down costs and maximizing efficiency allowed us to bypass additional shipping expenses and ensure every donation was organized with care. With her leadership and attention to detail, every bag was packed to perfection, ready for the long journey to Africa. Her tireless work is a testament to MACONA’s mission of providing direct and meaningful impact. 💪📦
Arrival and Customs Clearance 🌍
The shipment entered the port of Senegal before making its way to Bamako, Mali. In the last few days, we successfully cleared customs and handed everything over to our volunteers. They’re hard at work, sorting items for distribution to orphanages, women’s shelters, and families in need.
