October has always been a special month for giving — and this year, it’s even more meaningful. As Microsoft celebrates its Month of Giving, MACONA is humbled to share two powerful moments of impact from this month — one of compassion, and one of opportunity.

💛 Love and Care for a Special Needs Home
Earlier this month, our MACONA team visited a special needs home — a sanctuary that houses both children and adults living with different abilities. This facility Amaldeme, located in Bamako Mali that houses many children, young adults, and families facing challenges.
As we stepped through the gates, the first thing we noticed were the smiles — shy, warm, and full of curiosity. Bags of rice, pasta, and boxes of food essentials lined the ground, ready for distribution. Clothes and hygiene supplies were unpacked and sorted.

💻 Opportunity Arrives: Microsoft’s Computer Donation
After weeks of shipping and customs clearance, our long-awaited delivery from Microsoft finally arrived on October 15, 2025. Ten slightly used computers, carefully packed and protected, now stand ready to empower young learners across our community centers.
