The end of the line
On May 4, 2026, five bags of clothing, hygiene products, and over the counter medicine were packed in a driveway in Maryland. Four of them carried Apple AirTags. The next day they were driven two hours to a container yard in Philadelphia and sealed into a container bound for West Africa.
Today those bags were opened in front of the children they were packed for.
The shipment was delivered to the ONG Dembagnouma Djoyoro Orphelinat on Rue 212, Porte 508 in Bamako, Mali. Our volunteers carried every bag in and handed them to the director in front of the whole house: clothing for boys and girls, cooking oil, pasta, rice, powdered milk, and hygiene supplies. The banner in these photographs says the same thing in French and in English. Build a world where all youth are cared for, safe, and never go to bed hungry. Today that sentence has an address.
Four months, 4,548 miles, four trackers
This is the shipment you were able to watch the entire way. The trackers reported from the Philadelphia warehouse before the container was sealed, went quiet across the Atlantic, surfaced again in the Port of Dakar in Senegal on July 17, moved down the N1 highway at M'Bour on July 23, crossed into Mali at Kenieba on August 1, and reached Bamako on August 5 with all four trackers reporting 4,548 miles from home. On August 8 the volunteers took possession and began sorting. Today they finished the job.
Nothing about that route was promised in advance. It was published as it happened, including the weeks when the trackers said nothing at all. That is the point of tracking a shipment in public.

One orphanage, in full
Everything raised for this shipment went to this one house, and it arrived complete. That is what the Spring 2026 fundraising carried, and it carried it all the way. The next container is what adds the next address, and the dollars given between now and then are what decide how many children are standing in the next set of photographs.
