At the Microsoft MVP Summit, MACONA was invited as a participating vendor, creating a unique opportunity to engage directly with some of the most influential voices in the tech community. With a simple but powerful idea, MACONA set up a donation table where MVPs from around the world could give new or gently used shirts—many of which they receive frequently as conference speakers.
One standout moment came when an MVP from Denmark stopped by and donated a shirt, even allowing us to capture and share his contribution. This moment reflected the spirit of generosity that defined the entire event.
From Conference to Community
MACONA’s CEO, Mimi Williams, was present in person—thanking donors, sharing the mission, and personally collecting items. But the impact didn’t stop there.
Mimi later traveled to Philadelphia, where she worked alongside volunteers to sort, package, and prepare the donations for international shipment via container lorry. From there, MACONA’s dedicated staff on the ground ensured the final step: distribution to individuals and families in need.
