The full journey, end to end
This was MACONA's first shipment with an active GPS tracker on board. The donation collection ran through two software conferences in 2024: the Microsoft MVP Summit in March and TechCon Seattle in June. The container reached the African coast in late May, and the distribution team handed out clothing and food at the orphanage in early June.

TechCon Seattle collection
The TechCon Seattle booth opened the second collection point. Conference attendees brought clothing and supplies to the MACONA table throughout the week.
Tracker-1 surfaces in West Africa
The first ping from African soil. This was the first time a MACONA shipment carried an active tracker, and the moment it surfaced on the map confirmed every assumption about the route.
