Microsoft MVP Summit collection
Multi-day MVP Summit booth at the Microsoft campus. The donation box sat at the table all week while MVPs and Microsoft attendees dropped off clothing and supplies.
This was MACONA's first shipment with an active GPS tracker on board. The donation collection ran through two software conferences in 2024: the Microsoft MVP Summit in March and TechCon Seattle in June. The container reached the African coast in late May, and the distribution team handed out clothing and food at the orphanage in early June.
Photos from the conference floor, the tracker's first African coastline ping, and the volunteers on the ground handing out clothes and food to the children at the orphanage. Tip: click any photo to view it full size.

The first ping from African soil. This was the first time a MACONA shipment carried an active tracker, and the moment it surfaced on the map confirmed every assumption about the route.
